The process for coming to the Responsible Thinking Room is:
The student doesn't follow directions or procedures in their regular classroom.
They come to my room and
- We talk about what they did or didn't do in their classroom.
- We call the parent or guardian to let them know they are in my classroom and the student explains to the parent or guardian what happened.
- They sit down at a desk to completely fill out the student plan.
- When they are finished I will check it over to make sure it is answered completely and they put answers down that are acceptable.
- They must stay in here until they are finished with the student plan, if they have to leave a class they must wait until the next class day to get back in. The teacher has to approve the student plan and say that it is okay to return to the classroom.
